Outstanding example of the work of the Victorian architect, John Pearson, who favoured the Gothic style, with strong influences from French churches. The stained glass is perhaps the best example of Victorian workmanship in Europe. The three round rose windows are particularly beautiful. Truro is the only Cathedral to boast a parish church within it's walls. St. Mary's aisle is what remains of the original parish church, now incorporated into the structure of the Cathedral, a little gem among the pillars. |
